Northeast Huskies Weather Cancelation Policy

Decisions of home rink weather cancelation at UConn - games and/or practices will be made at the board level.

Coaches or managers should not be calling rinks or opposing teams at any time for this information.

Email notification will be sent to coaches and managers from the scheduler - mangers please reply with a simply "ok or received" so that it is acknowledged and then notify your team. Should anyone need to add a second email address or request a phone call directly please update this with the scheduler. The web schedule and main web page will also reflect the cancelation.

Should a coach or manager receive information from the visiting team, that they have chosen not to travel; accept the cancelation and ask them to follow up with an email to the scheduler and then notify the scheduler immediately with the name and number of the person who called you and await confirmation.

Game cancelations due to weather will cancel the ice as well and there will be no practice spot available to the team.

Weather cancelations for away games/rinks will be communicated to the managers and coaches as soon as they are received or decided upon at the board level. A coach may call the scheduler or be called for an opinion, however, the final decision will still be at the board level. If a coach or manager should receive this cancelation; accept the cancelation and ask them to follow up with an email to the scheduler and then notify the scheduler immediately with the name and number of the person who called you and await confirmation.

Hockey is a winter sport and very few games will be canceled – please be prepared.

You may give this information to visiting teams should they want more info or a personal confirmation.
