Jacob Roger Poulin was a happy, hockey playing four year old boy who was destined for greatness. He was an amazingly kind person who always thought the best of everyone and made everyone feel loved.

On April 2nd, 2016, as if out of thin air, Jacob was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma - a very aggressive brain tumor that affects only a few hundred children in the United States each year. After bravely fighting for his life for six months, five-year-old Jacob left this world on October 1st, 2016

During the 21-22 Season, the Huskies decleared the month of October Jacob's Month.  Throughout the season the skaters proudly wear Jacob's number (4) on their helmets as a tribute. In October our organization has our skaters come to practice in JRPF (Jacob Roger Poulin Foundation) jerseys, starts our games and practices off with a moment of reflection and 4 stick taps in Jacon's honor, participates in 4shots4Jacob and sells JRPF merch during our home games.  Jacob's number 4 has been retired by the organization only allowing his sisters Gaba and Hannah Poulin the honor to keep his jersey on ice.

Jacob Roger Poulin Courage Award

Each year the Huskies along with Jacob's parents Steve and Sarah nominate a Mite (8u) skater who has overcome adversity, shows a true passion for the love of the game, is a team player and who strives for greatness on and off the ice.  This prestigious award is presented to a skater at our annual "Back to Hockey" kick off party.  As the organization has grown and Jacob's legacy has touched more families, the Huskies and Jacob's Parents have expanded the award from one Mite level skater to one Mite and one skater from Squirts-Bantams.  Coaches thoughout the organization submit a nomination with an essay and the player is selected by the Poulin family.
